Makoto Wada is a woodworker at Sean Woolsey Studio, hailing from outside of Tokyo Japan. He also is the head baker at a local donut shop. Makoto has a huge passion for woodworking, constantly learning new ways to do things, and is never stagnant in his love for the craft . It’s a good chance if you have bought something from us, his hands have graced the project. He loves traveling, surfing, his dogs and sleeping.

What book has had the biggest impact on you, and what did you learn from it?I’m not a book lover, but I read so many Manga(Japanese comic).I learned so many things from Manga such as the importance of hard work and perseverance.
Who is your biggest role model and why?Mr. Kuniaki Akutsu, he is a master baker when I worked bakery in Japan.Because I respected his passion for work, commitment to products, technique, and knowledge.

If you met yourself 10 years from now, what advice would you hope they followed?Time is limited, so don’t waste it.If there is something you want to do, do it now.Don’t worry, just do it.
If you had 100% confidence, what would you do?I’d like to do my own business.
